living a life of authenticity takes focus, discernment, openness and a desire to evolve consciously. we live in times of great technological advantage with instant and pervasive global communication connecting us – creating a community of like-minded people in this same quest. we now have access to previously unheard of networking tools offering contact with celebrated contemporary minds as well as the historic texts of the great scholars of the ages…a sort-of “twitter meets the sages.”

i encourage you to search out these great minds - through books, workshops, websites, local and not-so-local group-thinks, and find through your own discernment the wisdom that resonates with you – wisdom you can live and embody through your vertical life into your horizontal world.

i introduce you now to a few of the teachers i quote in my workshop – in no particular order. this section will change and be enhanced from time to time – because as with all things in the universe, all things in intention -- there’s always more.

be careful of your thoughts – they become your words. be careful of your words, they become your behavior. be careful of your behavior, it becomes your habit. be careful of your habits, they become your values. be careful of your values, they become your destiny.” - i've seen this attributed to ghandi, and others, and offer the substance of the message here. if anyone is certain of this quote's origin, i would be grateful to be informed.

living the power is a message of living authentically – if your thoughts come from your higher self, your self of the universe, of the joy and beauty and abundance of all that is, this joy and beauty and abundance will become your destiny.

wayne dyer – the seven faces of intention

“the universe is endlessly creative, kind, loving, beautiful, expanding, abundant and receptive”

you are an intention of the universe - you were brought into being by the intended unfolding of events, matter, circumstances – of all that is. without the “seven faces of intention” as wayne dyer puts forth, our planet, this life form, this being called earth – this being called you – could not exist. if you’re made with the intention of endless creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansiveness, abundance and receptivity, all these attributes are already you. you are them – they are you – they are your birthright in this plane of existence. you are the intention of all that is.

deepak chopra – from “the seven spiritual laws of success”

“the source of all creation is pure consciousness…pure potentiality seeking expression from the unmanifest to the manifest. and when we realize that our true self is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe.”

“inherent in every intention and desire are the mechanics for its fulfillment…intention and desire in the field of pure potentiality have infinite organizing power. and when we introduce an intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, we put this infinite organizing power to work for us.”

before anything is anything, it is potential. before anything is manifest, it is part of an intention or desire. and as ghandi said..your thoughts become your destiny.

gary zukav – from the seat of the soul

our soul is at one with the spirit of all that is. there is no separateness – there is no duality – there is only oneness, and oneness has no opposite. the seven faces of intention, the seven spiritual laws of success all point to the same salvation of man and the planet: harmony, cooperation, sharing and reverence for life. we can see the world today as breaking down or breaking through. if enough of us carry the messages of zukav, dyer, ghandi, chopra and others, we’ll be part of the breakthrough.

we open our hearts by learning from these and other great teachers, by understanding the intention behind our existence in the universe, by bringing the intention of the universe through our lives into our life situations, by creating our own point of attraction into alignment with the gifts of the universe.
